TI was born in the small town of Sophia, NC in 1985. Since childhood, technology has been one of my greatest interests. In 2006, I took a job as an instructional assistant for the Randolph County School System. A year later, I was given the rewarding opportunity to transfer into the Technology Lab, as the technology instructional assistant, at New Market Elementary. There, I facilitated the learning of students in kindergarten through 5th grade on how to use innovative technology tools to, not only enhance their education, but let their creativity and individuality shine!
In August of 2020, after completing my bachelor's degree, I accepted a CTE position at Welborn Academy of Science and Technology as a computer science teacher. Here I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th graders how to sharpen their computer science super powers to change the world through the coding and programing. When I am not teaching classes, I enjoy leading and helping teachers to integrate various types of instructional technology into their classroom curriculum. In addition to working with students, I love to provide professional development! I have presented to educators both locally and out of state on various ways to ignite a fire for learning through technology. Check out some of my professional development sessions here. Technology is my passion! I am always on the lookout for the newest tool that can help my students and teachers excel! Click here to view my resume. |
